What you are moving, roughly how many cubic metres it comes to, and the part most people forget — what the access is like at both ends. Stairs, driveway, lift, loading zone, how far the truck can get from the door. Those answers are what makes a quote accurate instead of optimistic.

A time range and a rate, not a number designed to win the booking. If there is a chance it runs long, we say so upfront.

3. You get ready, we bring the gear

Blankets, straps, trolleys, floor runners, tools for dismantling beds. If you have booked packing, we arrive with the boxes and materials too.

4. Moving day

We turn up when we said we would. We wrap furniture before it moves, not after it is scratched. We load properly so nothing is crushed. Then we put it where you want it at the other end, not just inside the door.

The One Thing That Will Save You the Most Money

After years on the trucks, this is the honest truth and it costs you nothing: box everything.

The number one thing that runs a move over time is loose items. Every lamp, every pot plant, every half-full laundry basket, every armful of coat hangers that has not been boxed is something the crew has to carry, wrap and find a home for on its own. Loose gear is slow to handle, wastes truck space you are paying for by the hour, and is far more likely to get damaged than anything inside a carton.

Same-size boxes stack square and fill a truck efficiently. Odd shapes and open tubs leave air gaps, and air is the most expensive thing you can put on a removal truck. Fill the voids too — drawers, the washing machine drum, the space under the table.

Moving Interstate Out of Wollongong?

Interstate is priced on space, not hours, so the questions change. If your dates are flexible, backloading is almost always the cheapest way to do it — you pay for the space your goods take on a truck already making the run, in exchange for a delivery window of a few days rather than a fixed date. If you need everything there on a set day, you want a dedicated truck and we will tell you so.
